Lowest of the law
Chimaira, Terror
Chimaira’s low-key shows
Chimaira are set to play three special low-key shows after their Download Festival appearance at Donington on Saturday, 11 June. The three special shows will give the band the opportunity to showcase new material from their forthcoming third album, ‘Chimaira’, which is set for 01 August release.
Full dates are as follows:
11 June – Download Festival, Donington (Snickers stage)
14 June – Underworld, London
15 June – Zodiac, Oxford
16 June – Arts Centre, Colchester
Tickets for the club shows are priced at £12 and went on sale yesterday from box offices and all usual agents.
Support comes from Israeli labelmates, Betzefer (whose album ‘Down Low’ is released through Roadrunner on 06 June).
Chimaira are currently on a short US tour, before frontman Mark Hunter and guitarist Rob Arnold fly to London to mix the new album in May with uber-knob twiddler, Colin Richardson. Their 2003 album, ‘The Impossibility Of Reason’ has now sold in excess of 25K in the UK.

Terror in our ‘hood!
“This is how hardcore is supposed to sound” – Kerrang!
Terror bring the purest hardcore attitude to their music. Their brutal, stripped-down, uncompromising, sweat-soaked stomp of an album, ‘One With The Underdogs’ has won them fans and followers across the globe, thanks to the genuine power transmitted by their songs and the California band’s relentless, hard-working approach to playing shows.
Now, their UK fans get a bite and can catch their heroes at the following shows:
27 June - Arts Centre, Pontypridd
28 June - Barfly, Glasgow
29 June - Club Zero, Sheffield
30 June - Underworld, London
Tickets go on sale this week and are available from box offices and all usual agents.
To coincide, Roadrunner will be re-issuing Terror’s debut album, ‘Lowest Of The Low’ on 27 June with a whopping 10 extra live tracks and 3 bonus studio tracks.
Hardcore has lived and breathed in many people and through myriad bands. It has weathered fads and trends, yet will continue to outlast whatever the world with throw at it. Why? Because there has always been a band to fly the flag for its true spirit and carry it forward. From Agnostic Front to Madball, Cro-Mags to Sick of It All. Today that band is Terror.
Hardcore traditionalists, Terror are set for some long-awaited UK shows this June so - come along!
Long may they reign.
