Elbow: wanna see our album?

Elbow are to premiere their new album at the National Film Theatre. The cinema complex on London's South Bank will host the first public playback of the band's third album, 'Leaders of the Free World', along with special visuals.

The album, 'The Stops' was its working title, comes with a DVD of videos that accompany each track, created by visual artists The Soup Collective.

Frontman Guy Garvey said: "It's not a soundtrack and it's not a video, the two have bizarrely come together… while they were making the DVD they were influencing us."

"It borders on art installation… but that usually involves becoming a pretentious twat. We've just been having fun with our mates… and turfed out a top record at the end of it."

The playback and screening will be followed by a Q&A with band members.

Tickets, priced at £8.20 for non-members and £7.20 for members of the NFT, are available now from the box office via https://tickets.bfi.org.uk/ and on 020 7928 3232.
