Mariah Carey: these 'babies' got out!
[Wo]men of importance
Maraih Carey, 'Killer Queen', Cherubs, M. Jackson

M. Carey's assets on display

Mariah Carey gave fans more than they were expecting after a 'wardrobe accident' exposed her breasts. But fans only managed a quick glimpse before organisers threw the power switch - plunging the stage into darkness.

According to MTV news Carey then jokingly told the audience: "Someone bring me a jacket or the show's off, we all know how quickly these images can spread around the world."

Carey, who was performing in Karlsruhe, Germany, ran backstage under cover of darkness with her hands holding her clothing in place to have the problem fixed before continuing the concert.

Cherubs of Denmark Street

Cherubs are bringing their indie trash coolness to The Tin Pan Alley Festival in Denmark Street, London this Sunday, 17 July 2005. Playing alongside the likes of Art Brut, The Subways and Do Me Bad Things in the afternoon, followed by a show in the evening at The Windmill in Brixton, London.

There really is no stopping the London rockers who have already toured with the ever-popular Libertines. The band continue their non stop Summer tour by playing at the Truck Festival in Oxford (23 July), Nasty Festival in Leeds (30 July) and Leed/Reading Festival (26 and 27 August respectively).

Following closely is the release of their new single 'Man of No Importance' [15 August 2005] taken from their album 'Uncovered by Heartbeat' on Cargo Records.

By the way, Denmark Street is the place where The Sex Pistols rehearsed before re-writing rock history.

Jacko and The Beatles library lawsuit

A financial company specialising in asset acquisition is suing Michael Jackson, saying it is owed £26 million in fees for rescuing the singer's stake in the publishing rights to songs by The Beatles.

Prescient Acquisition Group said in its lawsuit in US District Court in Manhattan that the pop music celebrity enlisted it in November 2004 to provide financial advice and to secure refinancing of a £151 million debt to Bank of America.

On behalf of Jackson and his company MJ Publishing Trust, Prescient secured £298 million in financing from Fortress Investment Group LLC, enough for Jackson to pay off the debt and exercise an option to buy the remaining 50% of The Beatles library he did not already own, the lawsuit said.

Prescient said it was entitled to an immediate payment of £13.7 million, which is 9% of the financing used to pay off the Bank of America debt and a £1.8 million advance to Jackson and his company.

Prescient accused Jackson of breach of contract, saying that it had done what was expected in a written agreement and that Jackson and his company were not entitled to "retain the benefits of those services in equity and good conscience without paying to Prescient an amount to be determined at trial".

A lawyer for Jackson did not pick up a telephone for comment.
