'Ultimate Kylie': La Minogue's pop-best |
|
Kylie Minogue: 'Ultimate Kylie' (Parlophone)
Kylie: all the bestest moments and more
The definitive Kylie Minogue's ‘Greatest Hits’ collection says it all in its title - it contains every single from 'I Should Be So Lucky' to 'Red Blooded Woman' and two brand new tracks, ‘I Believe In You’ and ‘Giving You Up’.
The first new single released from the 'Ultimate Kylie' is entitled 'I Believe In You', on 06 December, co-written and recorded with Jake Shears and Baby Daddy from the Scissor Sisters. Strange thing is that this song sounds more like something Kylie explored on her ‘independent’ album that public failed to appreciate fully. [We still believe the 1998’s ‘Impossible Princess’ is singularly her most interesting long-player!]
There is also a DVD accompanying this release and includes all videos, with the exception of 'Giving You Up', with extras such as sing-along lyrics and the Brits performance of 'Can't Get Blue Monday Out Of My Head'. Kylie was at MTV EMA’s ceremony in Rome last week where she presented an award and looked just…
Thus, we reckon that the DVD version of ‘Ultimate Kylie’ is a better choice as your boyf’s pressy because it would give him hours of divine pleasure. If a man can’t have the sex goddess, then this disc will have to do.
Pop music at its most frivolous but darn sexy with it.
9/10
Tour dates 2005:
19, 20, 22, 23, 24 March - SECC, Glasgow
26 March - Zenith, Paris
31 March - Olympiahalle, Munich
04 April - Color Line Arena, Hamburg
05 April - Arena, Cologne
15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21 April - NEC, Birmingham
23, 24, 26, 27, 28 - Arena, Manchester
01, 02, 04, 05, 06 May - Earl’s Court Arena, London
Three dates - Glasgow (24 March), Birmingham (15 April) and London (06 May) have just been added due to the phenomenal demand. Or, perhaps, public's belief is that this is to be Kylie's last tour due to getting married and having a child or few?
