Green Day: 'International Superhits!'
(Reprise)
Green Day's seven years of hits on one ceedee

This is the ‘Greatest Hits’ from the Berkley neo-punkers and contains all their most popular moments, plus two new tracks. The new tracks, ‘Maria’ and ‘Poprocks And Coke’, prove that they hadn’t lost flare for the punkoid edge as appeared to be the case on their last studio outing, ‘Warning’.

And yet, the songs lack immediacy and power of the former hits that, ever since 1994, when Green Day released their major debut, ‘Dookie’ – total sales to date stand at 12 million – dispensed with impudence that meant ‘Never Mind The Grunge Bollocks’. The band hasn’t looked back, yet.

But, the two new tracks not being of the quality of the previous material… Still, you know 19 tracks – re-enjoy them all in one go!

8.7/10
